Be careful of Elevator Doors and a Manager who doesn’t do what she says

I’m writing this review for both myself and my Daughter. Her stay there was from March 26th to April 2nd. I got her checked in and headed to her room. The cart for luggage belongs in a grocery store not a hotel! I loaded the luggage for her and my two Grandkids. No assistance from the Hotel was available. I pushed the Cart to the Elevator which is where my ribs were bruised. The Elevator doesn’t stop level, on top of that the doors have no safety features. As I was getting in the doors closed on me and banged my both ribs. This is where it started, the entrance to the room has a saddle so you can’t push luggage cart into the room. Lesson # 2 learned the hard way. We get into the room and there’s a filthy disgusting rag left in bathroom by the cleaning staff. It looked like it belongs in a Auto repair shop. On our way out I hand it to Kyra the manager. She was apologetic and said she would notify responsible people. That same night the Heat / AC unit stopped working. So my daughter had to pack all her luggage and go to another so called upgraded room. Nay not so it was exactly the same! The next morning the outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. It was fixed that day, however that night someone smoked in their room. So at 1 AM everyone had to walk downstairs to get outside. Mind you my daughter has two special needs children. After the fire marshal cleared the hotel she had to walk up 10 flights of stairs with two special needs children. Seriously the Fire Marshal couldn’t give the ok to turn elevators on? You really need to stop and think about it. I could go on and on for sure. I wrote to Kyra and Corporate about my Daughter’s experience. Kyra said she would give some compensation which hasn’t happened as of today’s April 26th. I also forwarded my email to Corporate 4 days ago and have yet to receive a response. This hotel is quite old and needs updating for sure. Especially since the Elevator doors have no safety features. Do yourselves a favor and find another hotel. This one doesn’t meet Hyatt Regency standards! BTW I had X-rays done after my Dr Reyes with Northwell Health examined my bruised ribs. Fortunately nothing broken. Just had to live in pain for a few weeks. Lucky me six days of it was during my Vacation to Cancun. Enough said!

Expect nothing, get even less. Staff could care less. No climate control in the inferno bathroom. Garbage tv quality. No ice bucket. Trust me. They don't care about you.

Grounds were pretty and hotel was clean . Room was comfortable, especially the bed and bed linen. Our room had a golf course view, but windows were very dirty, so it was difficult to enjoy the view. Restaurant food was good but pricey and limited. $25 for a breakfast buffet is too much.

This supposed to be a 4-star hotel end up with a weed smell in room kept me up all night. (I am sensitive to smell) but also AC in the room was so loud (yes air handlers were in the room) I need to shut it down and shower head is 6 ft Hight and not adjustable so if you are over 5'10'' you need to duct to take a shower.
